This rare and extraordinary wine is named after Lodovico Antinori. Only about 6,000 bottles are produced per year and not for all vintages. The uniqueness of the Tenuta di Biserno lies in the Bellaria vineyard: the section with southerly exposure is part of Bolgheri while that with northerly exposure is part of Biserno, and this is where we find the Lodovico vineyard. It encompasses only 6 hectares, and the plants in it are pampered and caressed by a cool breeze throughout the year.
This iridescent ruby wine produces elegant and intense aromas of small dark fruits, blueberries, blackberries and cassis, aromatic herbs, eucalyptus, and a touch of balsamic and roasted notes. In the mouth it is powerful, compact and enveloping – the velvety tannins create beautiful synergy with its freshness; fundamental elements that allow it to last over time. The retro-olfactory finish develops fruity and tertiary notes.
